Tomorrow’s the big day! 4/20 is the biggest cannabis holiday of the year. The 420 craze was started by a group of students at San Rafael High School known as the “Waldos.” They used to meet for a blaze after school by a statue of Louis Pasteur at 4:20 p.m. Today this time is celebrated by most of the cannabis culture as a perfect time for an afternoon puff of herb, and April 20th (4/20) became an annual celebration.
This year, there’s a whole bunch of events and celebrating planned for 4/20. I mentioned of course that MU NORML is hosting 4/20 at Stephens Lake Park tomorrow afternoon. Here are a list of other events across the country:
TaxCannabis.org has set a goal of raising $42,000 by tomorrow, as you may have read in my previous post. Please please please take the time and send them a small donation, because it all adds up very quickly! A victory in California this november is a victory for us all! Click here to make a donation in the name of Free the Drugs!
Cheech and Chong are releasing their latest “joint adventure” on 4/20. It’s called “Hey Watch This” and it’s coming to theaters, DVD, Blu-Ray, VOD and digital download. They really want to make sure you see it!
Through the Marijuana Book Bomb, you can download a free copy of Marijuana is Safer: So why are we driving people to drink? It will be a digital download and will be available all day tomorrow.
Last but not least, my friend Larry Talley will be a guest on the Jeff Farias Show Online tomorrow! Check out the podcast by searching “Jeff Farias” on the iTunes store.
Have a fun and fulfilling 4/20! And of course, keep Jack Herer’s legacy in your thoughts this year. When you spark at 4:20 tomorrow afternoon, make it a toast to the Hemperor.
